Education Licences are available for education institutions and staff members teaching VFX-related courses or students enrolled on a course covering visual effects and related subjects.
If you’re interested in purchasing more than one licence, for example for a class you teach, then the Annual Education Licence for Institutions is for you.
An Annual Education Licence for Institutions provides your group with licences, a minimum of ten, that expire after 12-months.
The Student Education Licence and the Teaching Staff Education Licence are tailor-made for individuals, either students or members of staff.
The products supplied under an education licence option are functionally identical to the commercial versions.
Software bought at a discount under the education program must only be used for training. Individuals that use the software for commercial profit on a VFX production will be breaking the terms of the End User Licence Agreement (EULA). This is software piracy.
Companies are permitted to profit from discounted software bought under the education program as long as the software is only used for training students and for no other purpose.
Yes, providing it is for learning purposes only. If you wish to use NUKEX, MARI and HIERO for commercial production purposes, once you have left education, you will need to buy commercial licences.

Products are licensed for a specific machine or Floating Licence Server (Annual Education Licence for Institutions only).
If you have floating licences, any machine which can connect to the Floating Licence Server can run the software as long as you have purchased sufficient seats.
Refunds for licences cannot be issued.
