Extend the power of MODO

Created by third-party developers, MODO plug-ins are seamless additions to MODO that provide additional functionality. We will be offering a growing selection of MODO plug-ins for anyone wishing to add specific functionality to MODO. These plug-ins were all developed using the MODO Plug-in SDK that is included with every registered license of MODO.

See below for our full range of MODO plug-ins.

Power Translators

Interactive Geometry Translator Plug-ins for MODO 901.

The Power Translators for MODO are ideal for designers, engineers, product visualization specialists and 3D generalists who need to bring specific industry-standard CAD data formats into MODO for visualization or design.

MeshFusion for MODO has been developed by Braid Art Labs based upon the previous GroBoto technology. This revolutionary new modeling plugin is available as a stand-alone purchase for MODO 701 and 801, or included with any latest MODO release purchase.

MeshFusion opens up a new world of creative possibilities for artists and designers and takes away the challenge of complex and frustrating boolean operations and makes the process of producing high quality models consistent and accurate.

The MODO for SOLIDWORKS kit is for design and engineering visualization professionals wanting to import SOLIDWORKS parts, bodies and assemblies into MODO. In MODO, you can select import the data by appearance, part, body or face and create new layers in MODO to apply materials to specific parts of your design. The kit also provides user interface and navigation controls similar to SOLIDWORKS and PhotoView 360.

Power SubD-NURBS

Power SubD-NURBS lets you export Subdivision Surface meshes from MODO into NURBS-based CAD formats that load into a wide range of CAD systems. This tool facilitates use of MODO as a concept modeler at the initial stage of the design process -- where MODO’s ability to quickly create organic shapes is especially useful. With this tool, you can freeform model a variety of design alternatives in MODO and then transfer them to your CAD system for further refinement and engineering.
